Reserve Selection - Wild Lapsang Souchong (Unsmoked)
The Wuyi mountains of Northern Fujian are considered to be the birthplace of the first Chinese black tea, Lapsang Souchong. Lapsang Souchong (in Chinese Zhengshan Xiaozhong), is available smoked (Yan), or unsmoked. In the west, consumers more readily associate Lapsang Souchong with the smoked option.
Our Lapsang Souchong is a pure non-smoked black tea. The plump dark and curly leaves offer a beautiful dried-longan aroma. Once brewed, the bright amber liquid it produces is full-bodied, smooth and oily with fruity taste and aroma reminiscent of currents and candied wild figs.
